Cambrian House Guest
After I’ve written a bunch about Cambrian House and found some bugs in their site, their CEO MJ invited me out to Calgary on Tuesday to try to recruit me.
Yes, I went to Canada for the American Independence Day.
I got to meet almost the entire team and had an amazing time. The office is a well-lit open plan with a room for developers, a breakout room, and a mysterious secret room. Startup amenities included lunch, dinner, foosball, and an X-Box 360.
Everyone I got the chance to talk to is passionate about what they’re doing and I left wishing I had more time with the few people I missed. The business is powered by a refreshing combination of optimism and candor.
I’ve got plenty more to say about Cambrian House in future posts but I wanted to get this up quickly — with travelling and TechCocktail life has been hectic this week.
If you play any tabletop games (like D&D, Magic, and Settlers), visit my site NearbyGamers to find folks to game with.
