Obligitory Cat Post

There’s a bulletin board at work featuring employees’ pets with cute facts about each. My two cats are both weird, so I decided to fill in the survey for Monty.

Pet’s Name

Typical answers: Trigger, Mookie, other generic dog names
Monty: Monty, short for Montague

Monty

Pet Type/breed

Typical answers: a dog breed [this question reveals the survey-taker as a "dog person" or "leper", as they're classicly known]
Monty: Domestic Stupid

Pet’s Favorite Toy

Typical answers: Tennis balls, frisbees, ropes
Monty: [crossed out toy, wrote in nemesis] All shoelaces

Monty Vs. Nemesis

Pet is most terrified of

Typical answers: Sirens, lightning, swarthy foreigners
Monty: Shoes (when worn), treats, strangers, light, dark, loud noises, quiet noises, silence, being looked at, being picked up, the outdoors, some furniture, and petting on the belly, feet, or for more than 10 minutes.

Pet’s special talents or tricks

Typical answers: Plays fetch, rolls over, does not come when called
Monty: Will stand on the floor and rest his head on the table to beg. He measures 25″, not including tail.

Monty is kind of gigantic

Any other funny or interesting facts about your pet

Typical answers: Loves children, chases mailman, is a dog
Monty: Has dandruff.

In case you don’t pick up on it: I love my gigantic scaredycat. He’s strange, but that just means he fits right in with the rest of the household.

I didn’t fill out the survey for the other cat, so let me just get my Web 2.0 on and embed a video of her. (Please pardon the misguided bit of portrait mode at the beginning.)
